A naval engineer once told me that there wasn’t a single problem in the world, physical, political or emotional that could not be solved by the right leverage. It all comes down to perspective.

The latest signs on both reports and attitude around the local market is that confidence is returning to both the investment and buying markets, with those who were waiting for markets to stablilise out now stepping up. In both property and boats, movement, albeit small, is being registered and people are beginning to look at alternative ways of investing their income.

Without large gains to be made in the financial or property markets, many are turning to lifestyle investment; getting the most benefit from friends and family. And what better way to celebrate than to spend quality time on board a yacht?

Over the past few weeks, summer has definitely arrived in Dubai, with mid-40 degree temperatures and less afternoon breeze as the sea temperatures increase. Jelly fish are also making a comeback, so watch out if having a quick dive as the current invasion have tentacles stretching up to half a metre behind them (though are not too painful as we found out personally).
